Riders Ready BMX
Riders Ready is a BMX racing program for children with a range of disabilities & special needs. It is the first of its kind in North America and is supported by Milton BMX Racing and our special sponsors, some of which are as far away as California. We must give special thanks to the Oakville Civitans for their more than generous donation that will allow us to help more kids.
The program is totally run by volunteers. Riders Ready kids are grouped with volunteer coaches and are taught riding skills at their particular levels. Once they master basic skills and if they are willing, they can start racing in their own Riders Ready motos at races. There is also the possibility of racing in Provincial or Regional races. And they get to win awesome trophies and prizes that have been donated by our wonderful sponsors!
We need:
- VOLUNTEER COACHES !!! (High school students can volunteer for their mandatory volunteer hours).
- Sponsorship, BMX equipment, prizes & incentives for the Riders Ready kids
- Tax deductible charitable donations (personal or corporate)
